“I’m raising money to help other kids with diabetes dream big. We found Dr. Bernstein and LetMeBe83 just a couple weeks after I was diagnosed. Once, early on, I asked my mom if I could have a food that would have caused problems with my blood glucose. My mom said “I’m sorry, we are going to choose to not have that anymore.” I said “that’s okay, my health is worth it.” And that is the last time we’ve apologized for making healthy choices. We want that for other families.

I want to be a professional athlete, engineer, or blacksmith when I grow up. And a jedi, if that was possible. Or maybe all of those things. And I want to sail around the world. I don’t have time for diabetes complications.”
