Kaden W.

“Kaden was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes upon our return from an amazing spring break trip to Tokyo, Japan. We researched the symptoms Kaden was having while we were traveling and followed up with our pediatrician as soon as we returned to the United States. Since March of 2019, we have overhauled the way we eat to help Kaden maintain normal blood sugar levels. We all eat tons of protein (i.e., eggs, steak, chicken, beef) and green veggies (i.e., green beans and spinach) and lots of salad! We enjoy lots of low carb treats made with safe ingredients like almond and coconut flour and monk fruit. Kaden plays baseball year round, fall football, and basketball in the winter. He is active on the mound, in the field and on the court. Kaden doesn’t miss a practice or a game due to his Type 1 Diabetes. He is a healthy and happy teenager. Your donation would help another family learn about how to achieve normal blood sugar levels by eating low carb/high protein foods. Thank you for your consideration.”
